oh,my goodness, your poem is WONDERFUL!!!!! I feel EXACTLY the SAME way you do.
I can't stand to here about hate crimes, racism, predjudice, did you here what happened to emmet till? he was about, probably 14 or 15 years old. he only looked at a white woman, and two people,i think it was two, shot, and beat him until is was just, covered in blood.police foound his body in the mississippi river, caught in a cotton gin. they could hardly even tell it was him because his face was so disfigured and messed up. one of his eyes, were actually hanging out of his eye socket.
this happened during the civil rights movement and segregation times,so it isn't recent.but learning of the civil rights horrors ,it made me cry.when i learned about the holocaust,we read the book Night, and watched quite a few movies on it.i cried every single time we watched a movie.it breaks my heart to know and to see someone being so evil,so cruel.in china,if you are found out of being a christian, one of the penalties,is to have them lay your family out on the ground,in a row, side by side, and to have someone very, very slowly bulldoze over each family member,so that its excruciatingly painful, and heart-wrenching for the rest of the family to here the pain of their family, and to here their bones being crushed.
i'm sure there are worse things people have come up with.but that's pretty horrific.
it breaks my heart that no one can stop them.that no one will.
