Its a good setup for a horror story, but I found myself disappointed at the end. I wanted some more story. In my opinion its a bit vague and I would have liked to know more.
What was down there and what happened to the couple?
The story has some potential and I feel it could be better with a bit more work.
However, this is just my opinion. If you like it how it is then that's okay.

Good story, I enjoyed reading it. The plot interested me, the dialogue worked well, and the characters were interesting. I can't think of any critique to give it, except that it was too short for my liking. I would have liked to read more of this world you have created. You have only presented bits and pieces.
It is well written.

I really enjoyed your story, I found it interesting. I liked the scenario of the father on a quest to make peace with his dead son. The plot worked for me.
Personally, I felt like it needed a bit more descrition throughout. In my opinion this would have added a bit more colour to this short work.

I really enjoyed your piece. It is just the kind of story I usually love to read. From what I can tell from this one chapter, the plot intrigues me and I can see the possibility for man interesting twists and turns.
The only critique I have is on the dialog: the dialog is formal, as you would expect for the setting, however, it did seem a bit wooden in some places. A bit unrealistic. This is just my personal opinion and I mean no offence.
Thank you for posting this chapter and allowing me to read it.
