I realize that I am reviewing your story several years too late. So chances are, you wont be reading any of this. But I enjoyed the concept so much, that I just had to give my 2 cents.
It seems that you really did your research on the characters and their universes. I would have really liked to see the continuation. My only issue is that you don't use a new paragraph for another character's dialog. But hey, this was years ago, so you're probably a much better writer now.
This is the first story I've read here in writing.com. And I was not disappointed. Your main character, Chris Black, is very likeable. The futuristic noir setting is captivating. And the action sequences were a delightful surprise. My only issue is that the ending was not satisfying for me. Basically, I don't like the bad guys winning. I don't expect a happy ending from a noir, but the bad guys should still get what they deserve. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed your use of the 1st person narrative, and I hope you make more Chris Black stories. Hope he wins next time.
