I find myself very intrigued to read more! The beginning did it's job I was hooked I wanted to know more about a world where history was no more than just a myth. At the introduction of Mike it seems as though he was a street kid at one point, but then when faced with confrontation he backs down. The profile just doesn't seem to add up. I did find myself investing in him as a character though. I wanted to know how he would pursue the itching suspicion that the "myths" were more than myths. I really hope you are turning this into a novel I think it has great potential.
