Great story. I liked it a lot! I loved that the writing wasn't bogged down by too many adult explanations- you did a great job maintaining a child' perspective. I might have enjoyed a few more details about the era. More sights, sounds, smells.... Although, I think in my own writing I may go overboard with TOO many descriptions! LOL
