Hey Evadeva, I really liked this story. It reads in a very cold, impersonal way, which is kind of how people view these situations in everyday life. They're becoming so commonplace that we really don't think twice about them unless unfortunately we're caught in the middle. For the same reason, your use of present tense is very appropriate. Keep writing!
