Nice job with the story and good use of the photograph prompt! Great description throughout. Good use of pacing to keep the story moving at a fast clip. And you wrote a complete story in well under a thousand words which is a difficult task in itself! Good work and congratulations on winning the contest!
I just want to say that this is possibly my favorite contest on WDC! Not only are the prompts great (I love the prompts that involve three random objects!) but the 300 word limit makes you work really hard at your story. I generally write my stories out without strict regard for the word limit then go back over it and see if there is a better, shorter way to say something. I think this becomes a wonderful exercise for any writer regardless of their level of experience!
