Review of Flashing Lights

The detail you put in this excerpt from your life is so tremendous. I felt my stomach drop when I read about your dad asking you to go with him to the hospital. I felt the dread that you felt. It is very sad to receive diagnoses like that for family. I am glad that your brother seems to be doing better despite his current battle with Alzheimer's. If it's all right with you, I'd love to put you on my personal prayer list.

It's passages like this that make me want to read further. To be honest, I'm not familiar with the characters or worlds associated with Magic, The Gathering but this has turned me into a fan of any literature that may exist. I'm more than likely going to find myself wandering to the Sci-Fi/Fantasy sections of Barnes and Noble and Libraries on the off chance that I find something from Magic, The Gathering. The imagery in this was amazing. I felt like I was right there with the characters witnessing the events as they unfolded.

Thank you for this! Keep it up and please continue this story. Also if you have passages that precede this one, please send me links to them because I would love to read more about Nissa and Chandra.

Review of Liar

A poetic rambling of emotion. Feels like it's written by someone who is so overcome with emotion or grief, or both, that they can't seem to formulate a full and complete coherent thought. I can relate. I often felt the same way in my past. I don't know if you are going through a storm that seems to never end, but I am living breathing proof that it does in fact get better. Hitting rock bottom simply means that you have nowhere to go but back up.
Life gets better with hard work and it may take some time, but never lose heart. At the risk of receiving an email response chastising me for projecting my beliefs on someone who did not solicit them, I want to tell you that I will be praying for you. One thing that helped me in my times of despair was the voice of one of my dearest friends telling me to "Let go and let God." Basically that means that anything on your plate that seems too much to handle, pray about it. Tell God all about it and tell Him that you are giving the situation to Him so He can work it out.

Thank you for this poem, it is very lovely. Please reach out to me if you need anything.

Gah! I must know the rest! What happened with Miss Betty? What a beautifully worded piece of poetic artistry. I'll have to try making an apply pie using both Granny Smith and Macintosh. That sounds delicious. Oh my goodness, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I might have to re read this poem an envision myself taking a big bite of hybrid apple pie. Does she continue through the alphabet? Cherry, Date? Fig? I don't know of a fruit that begins with E or G but still I'm sure there's pastries that are made with a filling that starts with those. I'm making myself even hungrier just thinking about baking. Mmmm. Thank you for this appetizing piece.

This piece speaks to me. I love it! I don't have many words to say about it because I have been left speechless. Wonderfully written. Keep it up!
