It is a refreshing piece of writing and the anecdote is one that many parents would be undergoing daily. The author has brought the boyish nature of John very clearly. It shows John as a fun loving boy who wants to be popular at the expense of his loyalty to his parents. It is understandable since this is the way most teenagers behave. It also shows why one should be truthful at all times. John's mother lies to him about going out of town. Naturally, it acts as a spur for John who makes a big splash.
The lively plot encourages the reader to keep reading. Good work, keep up the standard. All the best.

Very well said, the art of reviewing, like the sunshine has to be warm but should not burn. This point is aptly put in the way one has to "match the rating". A good article should get the respect it deserves. I think that is the whole point about writing anyway.

Wonderful way to spread the contagious feeling that all writers feel at the beginning of any writing odyssey, the writer stops to point out the options with clarity and emphasizes the directions one has to follow to embark on this passage. I for one, am certainly inspired and though I have not decided yet, there is a list forming in my mind about the things that I should target right away. And I certainly could do with those Gift Points too! Well written, keep it up and good luck!
