This piece is honestly very good. I liked it a lot. It expressed a lot of emotions with very few words. Something, I personally, have not seen much of.
It gave a great description and allowed for the imagination to see what kind of character "Nightwalkers" are, while revealing enough like an adventure in old-time RPG's where the map is revealed slowly over time by each section being entered into, instead of all at once.
I would change one thing, and that is about "flying at night", I would have liked to have seen a little more description on what the flying is, or by what. Even with just a couple of words, it changes the imagery a lot. The only way you know what you are supposed to think about is by the note after the poem.
Aside from that, it is a very well done poem with every single word well thought and not feeling like it is there just to bump word count or fit a static requirement.
God that hit like a brick...I can relate to that so much. I used to cut myself, and almost committed suicide multiple times.
It flowed beautifully and hit every note right. I loved it, and it made me cry because I just want to reach out to the person in the poem and just hug them.
