“That’s ridiculous,” I said aloud. “Nobody can write a real story in just 100 words.”
But curiosity pushed me to read “Love in Nambia.” You did it! This kind of challenge would be impossible for me, as I’m a bit wordy, so I can only admire and review.
You’ve created some lovely images with great description, and I LOVED the little twist at the end. I find myself imagining the red sandstone in the poem.
My favorite line is: “Alas! If only he were born a Himba!” It’s funny, but it conveys quite clearly the longing behind those words.
My only concern is that, because of its adult content, everyone can’t enjoy this work. And that’s a shame, because it’s really good.
A stellar job of condensing an imaginative story into just 100 words. I was a skeptic before I read this, but now I’m convinced. (But you’ll notice that I couldn’t even compose a review that was under 100 words.)
Well done!
