I love the way you played the words with the justification (centered) like that, it added to the feel of the work. It works well. It shows very well how true deep love can produce deep hate as well. They say that someone who truly hates someone deeply perhaps once deeply loved that same person they hate. Wonderful piece. Thank you.
Interesting. The tone of the work is dark. It gives an interesting mental picture. I wonder if you are speaking of lack of sleep and that lack of sleep can feel like death itself as an insomniac. At least, for me as an insomniac, this is how I related to your work.
Wow, this is different. I love the book cover - very new age sci fi mixed with old school (I'm a cover artist and graphics designer). I admittedly skimmed a couple of chapters but from what I did skim I'm intrigued. Is this book offered in e-ink? (I have a Kobo). I'd very much add this book to my collection of books. Cover catches the eye, chapter titles work really well, they catch the interest and make a person want to read more. Keep up the great work. I look forward to adding this one to my Kobo in the very near future!
Very utterly touching and went straight to the core of my soul. It touched deeply to home for me. A fear all us lovers, wives and girlfriends have of those we love dearly. Our boyfriends, lovers and husbands. It gave me chills.
I am usually not a person for poetry. I find your "Beyond the Gates" very intriguing and it actually left me wanting for more. As poetry is a matter of point of view and inner perspective I've not any tips for improvement other than adding to this, maybe a few more quatrains.
