I love the simplicity of this poem. The way you portray these eight things with so little words is beautiful. It can be hard to achieve, but this poem makes it look so easy. It's also blunt, no secret meanings that need to be discovered. They're the memories that help build you into who you are today. I take my memories and make them into stories that are hard to guess if it came from personal experience or not, but I like how you are just straight forward with them.
I could barely finishing reading this without tearing up. I know that feeling all to well, and the way you put it into words is like a cruel beauty. I've read plenty of things about someone struggling, but your writing had me go back in my mind to a time where I felt trapped. I could see myself trapped below the ice. All I've got to say is, keep doing what you're doing.
