I really like this one! Mark is a very interesting character- he has a certain realness about him that makes him completely believable as a person. I like how in depth you were with his history and his relationships with his brother and parents. I also appreciate how you used interactions between characters and dialogue to describe him instead of out-right saying what he's like. I'm interested in finding out whether/which of these characters are tied together and how. This is not a critique- but do you plan on doing a bit of a history or explaining about the bliss drug and the illness that it's supposed to be curing next chapter? I just want to know a little more about it, although I understand if you have a plan to give out information about it piece by piece instead of all at once. It is a bit of a cliff hanger type of deal and keeps the reader's attention. I really look forward to discovering the state of the rest of the society and environment through the eyes of Mark and his fellow fictional beings! Until next time!
