Your honesty is appreciated. I used to feel the way you do about grammar and punctuation (rules) and I am still learning myself. Just takes practice, practice, and more practice. Your descriptions are good and really help the reader feel like they are with the character, I enjoyed the content as well. Your flow and length of sentences could use a little work. Try to read your story out loud, that will help determine where the flow becomes muddled. Anyways, great start, keep writing!
