I found this to be a very cute little story. How true it is that though kids wear you down and drive you crazy sometimes, you are most certain to be sad when they aren't around for a long time. The only thing I found that could be better is that it starts off pretty slow,or it seemed as so to me. And some seemingly unneeded details, but that's artistic choice so I get you. Other than that, it's addorable and you can visualize everything, which is a big thing for me.

Good poem, I like that you used Tag's point of view, it really sold the poem for me. It however did start just a little bit slow, but only for a moment. That's the only criticism I have for this. Easy to relate to for anyone whose had a much loved hunting dog who become to old to go out on the chase.
