I think that this experience is something that we all can relate to. Even if we don't have chronic insomia, there are occasional nights when it takes forever to settle down and then our sleep is punctuated with disturbances. There is an interesting style of nearly each sentence being a paragraph. It works because it is almost like a list; this happened, then that happened etc. I enjoyed the humour and it made me smile.
I like how you gave lots of information about Chinese New Year in an entertaining way. I feel like you know what you are talking about and the information is accurate. I think the first person point of view from the cat worked really well. You also showed how the main character grew and changed over the course of the story.
I really enjoy this poem. I also believe that the eyes are points of contact between souls so I appreciate how you worded that thought. The line "Windows bar Hold" is an unclear message for me and seems to stall the flow of the poem.
