Nice and sweet! You're writing is like comfort food to me. I joined last year but was too chicken to write anything, let alone review anyone. It took me hours to construct a sentence I never sent. So again, thank you, particularly because your voice is plain to see. I don't have to work at all to get the imagery and landscape of the story.
You had me right at the start and I couldn't stop laughing. I enjoyed every minute of it and plan to list it as my favorite thus far. How refreshing! After a while I started skimmy through it and found myself re-reading certain parts of it. The first sentence stopped me immediately with a comma instead of an 'and' which would have allowed me to glid through the sentence instead of 'pause and go.'
The end of paragraph two, "the cobblestone road and stone buildings..." was tidious to imagine for me, since most times I struggled to keep an image of a man sitting on a motorcycle. Nevetheless, I did manage to get a vague image of him napping on a picnic table.
Over-all I feel the story has potential, the back-drop of Paris and a motocycle? Come on that's sexy! But I'm a lazy reader and I don't like working hard to see and feel the story. Open with a punch and let me see your face and I would have jumped on board and hung on for the ride of my life. I certainly would have loved to watch the expression on your face when you stopped to photograph the double rainbow that's for sure.
