I love dark Brylee! Her dreams are crazy but insightful. Will she turn out to be like this now that she is a vampire? Will her dark side grow to the point that even bonded won't bring her back? Time will tell I guess. As always a wonderful addition to her troubled past.

Was it the duck or was it the wish he started to make? Being a parent I can see how he would want to protect his little girl, so the feeling you bring out in writing about it, is spot on. Simple but that was the point. Describing things as they might have happened so long ago was intriguing. The simple life to the fullest. Even now a days we take the things that Thugg had invented for granted. Seeing how the thought of just a spear came about was different. I good short story overall. Interesting start to what seems like a good sci fi story. I'm curious about the Coder and about some more of the back story. I hope you address this is the next chapters. Like the character development of Dana, you left enough out of her back story to make her real and a unknown in a way. Same thing with Odin, he is a AI but yet he seemed to have a few human traits. Look forward to reading more.
Interesting tale. The imagery from the moment he got up and slowly fades away, was very thought out and descriptive. Wondering why no one answered him and ignored him as he tried to call for help or bumped into him. and Then just leaving his train of thought off into nothing was a good touch.
I'm loving this so far and you haven't even shown a plot yet dear. Just the basic getting to know the players and the chats are driving the story along.
I enjoyed the story. I can see her as the puppy while Liz is the little girl and Lissa and Will as the parents. It was her showing the love she felt from them vs the neglect she always received from home. Loved it!
