I don't mind that you don't really wrap up the story or have a full arc- I was happy with the way the Sopranos ended- but the way this story ends is a little awkward- which is frustrating because I was enjoying the story leading towards answering the question you lay out in the teaser. If you're going to just drop the narrative mid-stride- then maybe just stop in the middle of....

Enjoyed it. Good read, descriptions and action. My only suggestion would be to clarify a little why he's so hell-bent on getting that book. Just proving an old ancestor innocent doesn't seem like good enough reason to B&E a library. Also, the name Operation Walrus is great.
