the natural way to start the day
Breakfast

Tap tap. Tap tap,
the noise delved into the
depths of slumber
Tap tap. Tap tap,
stirring began within their number.

Tap tap. Tap tap,
brothers and sisters started moving,
Tap tap. Tap tap,
six legs each, antennae waving.

Tap tap. Tap tap,
Termites scurrying in the dark,
Tap tap. Tap tap,
Woodpeckers beak breaks
through the bark.
