Waiting for a reason to flourish again.
Alone on the surface
As well as inside
Prickly thorns
Help me to hide
Somehow I know this
Yet I try not to cringe
Always end up
On a depression binge
My petals around me
Wither and wilt
Around me this garden
Is an empire unbuilt
Color is fading
From my flower once lush
Perplexing reveries
Draw me to hush
If someone could be there
To keep me alive
Perhaps there’d be effort
To try to survive
