Life doesn't wait.
Maybe later has arrived.
Perhaps today has become tomorrow.
For 30 years I've been stuck on survive,
wondering why my life has felt so hollow.

I've traded my life for a dime,
sold today, pretended I'd live tomorrow.
I've left my hopes and dreams behind,
always thinking there'd be more to follow.

It's too late for me to change it all
now that it's tomorrow
Oh, how the future does pall
when you realize life is something you can't borrow.

Now all I can do is face my mistake,
and greet today with regret and great sorrow.
Still, I wish I hadn't learned too late,
that you can't save today for use tomorrow.
