Something for the end of summer.
Running around town with my friends
Buying popsicles from the icecream store
Flying kites and splashing through puddles
Jumping into the hose spray hoping for more
Summer dates to the movies
And washing the car
Weeding the garden
And men drinking and playing pool at the bar
Talking about years before and years to come
Building sand castles and surfing for hours
Sitting on the beach late at night and singing songs
Watching the ships pull in to docks that might one day be ours
And all together preparing for school
Because our summer life is coming to an end
But don't worry it is sure to be back next year.
