I suppose this is another poem about being indebted to someone dear to you.
For years during the storm I have trusted in you
To guide me over life’s chasms, long due.
You break through all barriers thrown before us
They pass over you as if clouds of dust.

My life hidden in darkness is now bathed in light,
And those horrors that were once clouding my sight
Have been falling away with the coming of the dawn
While the shadows on my face are becoming withdrawn.

The vicious circle of failure in which I did long reside
Stifled all feeling until even hope was denied.
Starved of laughter and peace, life became vague
Where simple existence had become my plague.

But the pain and hate have finally subdued,
Through you my whole life has been renewed.
Now the stains of the past have become untrue,
I owe my blood and soul to you.

Personally, this is my favourite out of the poems that I have written but if you can see any changes that could improve it or errors in it, please tell me and review.
