A poem about homelessness
I live my life upon the street
My home is where my head and road meet
I have no roof, I have no door
I lie naked on a barren floor
This life is not the one I choose
But forced upon me what I chose to lose
Many days since I last was fed
I lie upon the leaves that form a bed
I feel the pain behind my eyes
I feel the pain but dont realize
Why I suffer or why i cry
I will smile upon the day I die
Without a house, without a home
When I die, I shall die alone
For I gave my heart, I gave my mind
By trusting a person I thought was kind
Now I live a lonely life...
Now I live a lonely life...
