I wrote this on a bad day a couple of years ago
On The Tide

I am but grit,
in a shifting tide
I'm pulled one way,
then i'm pushed aside
i'm looking for the shore.

In the depth of lie's
the truth has drowned,
the undertow it has no sound
but the abyss is deafening.

With the ebb above my head
I float with weightless dead,
waves continue now to roll
grab some wreackage,
that once was my soul

A lower tide arrives
yet i still don't breathe,
the heavens are revealed
but the truth is still concealed.
