Have I seen you before?
Eyes that were once as red as fire
Are a cool blue now
A face that used to be etched
Is now smooth as silk
The clothes worn were dark and dreary
But now they are clean and sophisticated
The life that was not sought out before
Is no longer so bad
And the voice that was always so calm and soothing
Has only matured

Those eyes stare like they’ve never seen before
That face looks directly into everything
All knowing yet still learning
The voice is remembered
Familiar and haunting

Those eyes look at cheeks which were once peach
Knowing the voice has caused them to turn red
And the face that the eyes look at
Could not be any more pleased
Those eyes stare into other eyes that have seen magic
Eyes wishing with everything that
They hadn’t seen anything
And wanting more than anything to see more
