I wrote this in grade 9. It's cute, sad, and makes me hug my stuffed bunny.
The Yardsale Stuffty

One time a child hugged me
held me close and dear
but childhood will flee
and I am left for years

A baby got me after that
they suck and chew and gnaw.
One bad meal and SPLAT
my fluffy coat is flawed

I'm given as a gift
to a busy student
but to help the shift
I'm sold to pay the rent

Now that's where you'll find me
on the table by the playpen
Will anyone pay my 10 cent fee?
Will I ever be loved again?
