A poem about a misfit in high school who does not know how to make friends
Always a stranger

I'm always out
never in
inside I shout
I don't need a friend

I see you there
and I sigh
no one will care
and I cry

outside looking in
I can never enter
How do I begin
always a stranger

I don't know what to do
I don't understand
I look at you
I close my hand

I never belong
the door is locked
The day is long
The gun is cocked

Always a stranger
