A story of an old man and his garden.
The Usher of Life

An old man has had a garden for many years.

His plants are fed with his love, and watered by his tears.

He has nothing left in life, and he has lived over four score.

Eyes constantly fixed upon his garden, from the shelter of his back door.

He gives more life now than he ever has before.

He sets out of from his house at half past four.

He walks to his garden across the dew covered lawn.

Knowing the plants will grow strong even after he is gone.

The flower’s in bloom and the fruit sweet as a kiss.

In the twilight of his life he takes great pride in this.

In his final days, it’s all his life is about.

He is ushering new life into the world, as his fades out.
