Not sure what I was thinking about when I wrote this...
Fall came as August went
The leaves began to turn brown
The story ended as soon as it began
And no peace in my heart could be found

It was so short it seems, the time that I had
So sad, yet, the best time of year
Summer had come and summer had gone
And had gained nothing, but lost to fear

The silence is deafening, and the closing door bleeds
As I silently let out my scream
The pain doesn't hurt but the darkness, it creeps
And in reality, it's all but a dream.
