A poem I wrote when I was 15, About the need for independance and irational fear.

A window black;
A silent home;
This is the night alone.

Don’t answer the door;
Don’t answer the phone;
This is the night alone.

Fear is strong;
Chills my bones;
This is the night alone.

Go for a stroll;
Go for a roam;
This is the night alone.

Bury your fear;
Conquer your own;
This is the night alone.

Nothing but shadow;
You release a groan;
This is the night alone.

The lights come on;
The T.V. drones;
This is YOUR night alone.
