Devotion is constant.....with or without you.
That mysterious dark man
claimed my friend's mind,
tangling reality
and making her totally blind.
Their meetings were always in secret
and only in the dark.
Her trance is always constant
as she carries his gun into the park.
Never thought bullets were romantic
but I guess that's how it is.
I figured she'd take her life first,
but instead she took his.

Having him dead
was the only way she could.
I know she loved him way too much,
to be able to do what she should.
She couldn't leave his body,
but she never had his soul.
Heavy hearted she took him home
and in her backyard dug a hole.
Their weight was almost even,
yet he felt so much lighter.
The colder that his body felt
her grip grew tighter and tighter.
Though so much blood's been shed
and the tears may never end,
our secrets will catch up to us
though they never have my friend.
Her day of mourning's come and gone
and the roses have all died.
I guess it's better to have lost,
then to never have tried.

He shouldn't have enticed her
or tried to play such games.
I say I'd have much more control,
but I know i'd do it all the same.
