It's not big or clever, but I like it anyway.
Fish

James and John were goldfish their owner set free,
to fend for themselves in the harsh open sea,
at first they were scared of what they might find,
but they met some crabs who were really quite kind,
having not seen a mirror or their own limitations
James and John thought that they too were crustaceans.
In exchange for protection they became the crabs slaves,
but day after day James and john got more brave,
Their confidence grew and one night they revolted,
they packed all their bags and quietly they bolted,
But they woke up the crab, they knew they were in trouble,
and after a flurry of gold scales and bubbles,
john had been killed, but James got away,
he had been saved to live one more day,
he swam so freely without a care in the world,
then he was eaten by a whale, because it was hungry.
