A beginners poem
Farewell

Paying tribute to the essence of someone who used to be
Spirit flying free

Cutloose from the tie that binds
Now alive only in our minds
Silver cord severed
Life no longer to be endeavoured

Remembering the good not the bad
Feeling sad for the moments never more to be had
The body present, only a husk, a shell
Of sommeone, we once knew well

Interring or cremating
Ritual to be keeping, whilst we stand weeping
Should we not Rejoice instead?
A life is completed, a journey's destination reached.
