A poem about depression
Darkness of the Soul

I watch the world through shattered glass
I look into my mirror and it breaks
Pieces missing

I try to put together what should be there
All I see is the darkness of it all
I'm not there

The darkness threatens to invade my soul
I barely keep it at bay
I'm frightened

A fog rolls in, reflecting the star light
It wraps me in comfortable coils
I see the light

It filters down to me through all barriers
I take it into myself
I have hope
