this is a ballad about an unexpected walk
While I was walking down the street
Below the moon-lit sky
I stopped and saw a homeless man
He looked at me then cried

Watch out! Hey! get out of the way
A man with Devil's eyes
He swung an axe which pierced my back
And this is where I die

I made no move while lying there
In a large pool of blood
Then I noticed the homeless man
Beside me in the mud

He left us both slowly dying
Just freezing in the mud
He looked again with devil's eyes
His shirt said hi I'm Bud

And finally he walked away
I started to go numb
I felt my breath starting to fade
And I said, "goodbye bum"
