Who am I? How did I get to be the person I am? Why must I go on.
The mirror haunts me.
A window into my true self.
I stand in front of it and wonder.
Is this really who I’ve become?
The figure grins at me from its glossy tomb.
My real self stares back at me: seeping from the glass into my mind.
The face I see; barely recognizable.
It is me, but not all of me.
I know now what he wants.
I realize who returns my stare.
Ego sum quisnam ego sum.
Turning, I walk from the room.
The mirror sits in silence.
