Apes
taught modern man war
And
they perfected—Brutal Art
Sun Tzu
spread the word of violent lore
Niccolò
taught proper justice
That
all men have worth
But
even rebellious grapes are brought to justice
Transgressions
repaid in blood
Squashed
by the hoary foot—of the powerful

the petals of peace
were killed by razor sharp weeds
justice rules them both
