A view from the other side. THIS POEM PENDING PUBLICATION!!!!!
Dis-Ease

I told her more, than she needed to know.
Why do I do that, she’ll never approve.
What does it matter, she’s all about booze.
She’ll act like it matters.
But only to her.
The truth will come out, it’s all just a blur.

She doesn’t remember, one moment to now.
Acts like it’s old age, I know her too well.
Bring up what’s important, her eyes start to swell.
She’ll act like it matters.
But only to her.
The truth will come out, it’s all just a blur.

Too bad she can’t see it, dis-ease on her brow.
She has to accept it, but can’t if she’s blind.
I’ve tried to lead her, to open her eyes.
She’ll act like it matters.
But only to her.
The truth will come out, it’s all just a blur.

I’ve done all I can, it’s come to this now.
She’ll miss all the growing, she can’t see that far.
What it will do to her, as we leave in the car.
She’ll act like it matters.
But only to her.
The truth will come out, it’s all just a blur.
