A poem about a girl in the holocaust
And the blood flows down
My unbroken skin
As i scream into the dark night
Waiting for reassurance
That it wasnt my fault
And i didnt mean to do it
I just looked away for one second
And now she's gone
Her body lay in my arms
And her pierced head lay limp
And i cry as i wish i had never looked away
Because she ran, point blank
Into the barrel of his gun
While the man in the star tried to stop her,
The man in the spider was merciless
She was a four year old girl
And i, her older sister
Now i sit and i cry
Holding her dead body
As the gun fired again
And now i am with her
In innocence we lay
Dead in the streets
Somewhere in Poland
