A poem based on one of my characters that I created when I was 12 years old.
You were my man, my love, and my friend

I didn’t ever want you to leave my side

How could you have me so quickly?

You were young, smart, strong, and mine

You helped me when I was down

You listened to all my troubles

You are my love and my angel

You now have wings to fly away

I don’t want you to leave me

I know you have to go now

I don’t want you to forget me

Now, its your time to leave me

Spread your wings and fly away

My angel is you and forever now

Watch over me day by day
