This is a poem I wrote that will one day be included in The Battle Within.
Poison seeping through the blood;
Poison thick and dark as mud.
Poison bringing night around;
The Poisoned lying on the ground.

Poisoned she lay there,
Choking without air.
Thrashing in deep pain;
To die is but to gain.

She is still.
Her life, fulfilled.

Dark pools of hair streaming around her.
Darkness completely engulfing her,
Settling around her in its dank rot.
A sigh escapes her lips of apricot.

She breathes no more as she slips away.
In this body corrupt she no more can stay.
Her spirit rises above a body broken.
No legacy left behind nor kind word spoken.
