Reminiscing about a summer love
I missed her on the first day of Summer,
I was afraid I might not see her again.
It would be a long, hot season without her,
how I wished we could be friends.
I missed her on the first day of Summer,
I longed for what she had represented.
I longed for a love and a friend.
Warm Summer days and fair skies
had made me stop to realize
That the first day of Summer without her
was not as happy as it might have been.
