This is a poem about a man living in the 2nd WW.
A forlorn old man all I am;
Remember the time we use to laugh and sing
When the future was all that mattered
Forgetting to live in the present I tell thee…

In dawn of the day they came
Dragged Marza my love away from me
‘The camp You shall go you worthless piece of thing’
As Jew ‘Thing’, we were referred to

Never had the chance to say farewell to the home I built
My bare hands I had used;
Just to see my lovely home
Day and night, I sweated my arms
Just to build Our lovely home

Two years we have been here
Not a word they mention of our future
One by one, they take them away
As we watch with tearful eyes

Screams at night haunts me down
Dreams of Marza my Love make me continue

Nothing to do but a song to create:
Dare you hear it from an old man I ask thee?
Fortunate are those who have the chance of seeing the blazing sun;
Unfortunate are we who has to labour under it;
We pray for freedom;
Knowing our God has not forsaken us, No

Free we shall become once again;
So it says in the promising song
For remember the time we used to laugh and sing…;
