Free verse, no rythmic pattern
On the cold dark moon
I stand before my army
With a sword in my hand
Astride my horse, saddled
Ready to fight
I raise my hand in the air
The light from somewhere
Lights my armor
Silver and feathers
With a flower in my hilt
I charge forward
And my masses follow
To destroy the darkness
And create only light
The dark army rushes
And we meet head on
With a clashing of steel
And hissing of voices
It has begun
And long was the toil
And many were lost
To the fall of darkness
And a bearing of cross
The soldiers fought hard
And fought long
And gradually
The darkness receded
And the light begins to move
Across the field of battle
Across the cold dark moon
