peaceful end
Quest

truth is ever fleeting
an exotic gilded horse on a carousel
and I wait expectantly for the magical equine
to spin back around for a momentary glimpse
--shocked as mushroom morphs at revolution's end

do i really wish to take notice of it?
verily, i will not vaccillate
stoically swallowing the copious fungus
overgrown and undertouched
unable to deny the pleasure of its musty aroma

willingly catapulted into the vast torture
of beauty like ice, and the beast
who screams the nights torment
flailing maniacally to cast away the demons

ashen ghost, will you take me with you?
categorically, i will not resist
clinging to your grey coat
swirling and mystical
unable to forsake the bliss of black silence

then these chains may fall away
that curse my white eye
and let the truth sit motionless
such emancipation will lead me to my peaceful end
