Living in the moment. This poem was used in a song, tweaked, by a talented soloist.
Flight

Saturated silk, perspiration comes in waves.

I feel the heat,
whisper forced winds
upon my altered state.

A tattered cloth swings past
my clouded vision,
flowing along a windswept current of air.

Matching the colors of a sunset
soon to come, the cloth lands
in front of me, threatening
sudden flight.

Alas, I become this floating
wonder of color and flight,
wandering into the amber meadow
of lost romance and what time forgot.

As I continue this altered perception,
my mind relaxes to the soulful and uninhibited
windy gusts forever lasting within my reach.

Flight is all I seek.
