Hiding pain is harder than it looks.
Beauty so deep; once so pure, now stained with the pains of life
So strong and silent, wearing a mask to hide the scars
You cover the pain, your wounds still fresh; no one can know.
Hiding from pain, you hide from love; the pain is just too deep
A life of running from all that care has taken a toll upon you
Weariness shines through beneath that smile, once so sweet
Bitterness now inhabits your eyes, once so full of light
The lies once told to you, you now tell
You long for an end to the madness you call life
